what do you think?

Like the composition and expression; would like it even better if you included the very bottom of the neckline.
IMO you should move the black point in, right now there is nothing even close to true blacks. It's not always necessary for the histogram to go all the way to the left, but this seems a bit far right to me.
In some photos the grain works, here it is somewhat distracting ot me. I would work to reduce it a bit.

I think the point here (maybe accidental? lol) is to match her skin tone with the background and her shirt. .more so than accentuating contrast.

Open the photo, check the histogram (procedure varies with software used). See how there is blank space at the left side? To change this in PS or PS elements, open the levels tool (image>adjustments>levels in PS) and grab the left-hand marker (click & hold on it). Drag it to the right until it just touches the "foot" of the histogram. See how the pic now takes on more vibrancy? It loses that "flat" look.

A good histogram would entice it being across the full length of the graph, right?

Normally, yes, but not always. In this case, the black point definitely needs shifting. If you want I'll post an edit.

I pretty much like it the way it is, not every picture needs a black black or a white white.

It could look fine with a change, but I think it is fine the way it is - it has a soft, subtle feel as is, adding more contrast would change that. Her eyes are dark enough without forcing them to black...

I think a catchlight in the eyes would help.

Catchlight. See the small white dot in the iris here?

In the case of your photo, a on camera flash would probably give you the catchlights and some fill light on the face.

Also, I think I agree with Gordon on the levels. I think I like it the way it is.
