I didn`t vote on it but it wouldn`t get more that a 5 from me. I just don`t like this kind of subject and I don`t find anything stands out!

I gave it a 7. I admired the effort and the moodiness, but the division of the image into 50% subject and 50% negative space is not working for me. I'd like to see a little less harshness in the dark side of the face also.

I gave it a 6! Seems like I was right there with you on this one :)

I gave it a 6. I thought it fitted the challenge well and went with its title in providing atmosphere. The blur didn't bug me, in fact, I like the sense of motion in the knife.

Looks like a pretty standard bellcurve here, had I voted mine would have been in the fat part of the curve. I like the things that you pointed out you were going for here (knife movment, shadow changing eye reflection) but the overall greyness and lack of sharpness didn't give the effects you were shooting for enough backround to stand out. The blur of the knife blends with the softness of the face. The eye in shadow fails to pop because the whole composition lacks sufficient contrast.
That said, I loved the composition and the thumbnail looked very promising, but it failed to deliver the impact I expected on larger image.

I gave you a 5... That's no so bad? Right? Ok, put the knife down... No, stay... Don't come near me... Aahhhh!

I couldnt identify it as a knife at all - I saw a line of blurry beads.

As you said yourself:

"Very simple image, so not sure how people will react as far as scoring goes. What I like about this image..."

I didn't see a knife and didn't think you were evil enough ;)
