Here is the photo I posted for the challenge:
It did "just okay" in the voting.
I am trying to develop my "eye" for photos and composition. I agonized over which of 4 to post. In each case, there are things I liked better than the one I posted, and things I liked less well.
Please, would you have scored any of these 3 higher? Why?
Thanks for your help! |

I would have scored the first outtake the highest. The composition is much more appealing and less cramped than the others and the small depth of field being in the middle ground makes it interesting. Also the view from the top shows more of the matrix. |

I think you entered the best of your photos, perhaps the middle one of the other 3 would have done better thoough as the blurry out of focus type thing in the background adds interest.
I hope this has helped! |

I agree with JPR, but I also might have used a black surface with green, backlit grid lines for a digital look. I do like the play on words, and I understand that there needn't be a connection to the movie, but I'll bet that a passing reference would have helped your score. I think you might have been hurt a bit by the reddish white balance in your entry, too. |

Thanks for the feedback JPR, lozbeau and scalvert. It helps to see my photos through others' eyes.
Any other opinion? |
