ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW.... out of 531 photographs to see that many great shots is amazing. Congratulations to everyone that entered. I will feel honored if my picture fall's within the top 50%.

I'm actually surprised at the mediocre quality of a lot of the shots. Sure there are some good ones but there's certainly a lot of very average stuff.

I didn't really start doing any sort of photography until mid-December, and this site is actually what got me started... I didn't really have much to work with for this Challenge! |

Nah I started off in first place before the voting started now I'm sittin somewhere in the middle. You'll probably do better then me :D

Ok... is it just me, or does this not make sense?
I'm currently getting my lowest rated photo EVER! Isn't this supposed to be my BEST?
Is everyone voting lower because the competition is so stiff?

My score currently resembles the motion of a roller coaster. only an hour and a half into it and i've already whent from 5.0 to 4.5 to 5.3

| It's disheartening to interrupt your voting to check your submission every 15 minutes. Especially early on. The difference between a 7.2 and 6.7 is two votes and about... 12 votes placed and two comments written. It's more frustrating when you have only 35 votes received - every songle vote can move your score appreciably. :( |

I made an oopsy...I submitted an image but decided I would go through my photos again and change it, well I forgot!
I'm at 4.9000 with 30 votes.
I'm not too concerned, though...2005 is the year I'm focused on!

Five point one two.
thunk (sound of head connecting with desk). i find it so impossible to judge what kind of picture does well here. i'm just about to enter my first anniversary of DPC membership, and STILL i am appalingly bad at deciding what appeals to voters. big bunch of hairy arse. what i don't get is that my least confident shot for an AGE in the movie titles challenge is doing 5.76 (which is well above average for me). that i get even less. happy grr! |

No offense to anyone here but I kind of agree with you here BUT I have only looked on the thumbnails and not actually started voting. Anyway, only saw a handful that blow me away but on the flip side, didn´t see any terrible ones either, most just seemed to be in the 4-7 region, at least compared to how I usually vote. |

I didn't take a ton of pictures I'm really happy with last year. I haven't entered anything since March. I'm just glad I finally entered something. I do really like the photo I entered and frankly, its been so long since I entered anything, I had no idea how I'd do. 5.6ish.... I guess it could be worse.

Average vote= 5.906
My average vote at DPC = 5.573
So on average it was a good challenge. :)
My own photo is dropping from the 6 towards the 5 regions, one comment.
Gonna comment some more in the next weeks.

Ok.. I *want* the script that allows you to know what the individual votes were.. but I don't.
Cause it'd make me end up hurting myself.. or something. LOL
