I've seen many people insert their favorite photos in their biography sections. However when I triy to do it using "[thumb ]123456[/thumb ]" code which works for me in the forums. However, it is not recognized in the profile. How do you do it?

Try placing the URL of your image between IMG and /IMG (with brackets [] around the IMGs).
I just tried it with my bio page and it works fine. Just be sure to use the URL of the image, and not the URL of the portfolio page.

Just looked at the source code in on the site to figure this out
[ url=//www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=124142][img]//images.dpchallenge.com/images_portfolio/4226/thumb/124142.jpg[ /img][ /url]
change 4226 with your USER_ID
change 124142 with the PHOTO_ID you want
and ofcourse do not leave any spaces as I have in the above. I tried to put this in and it works for me :)

That works too, and makes the image a link that takes you to the portfolio page.
