Well we had our first real winter blast here in southern kansas all ice.
Over a inch of it now, no power where I live, so we went to the wife's parents house, the whole town looks like a war zone. Fires every where, trees look like match sticks. So here I am on there puter, and his monitor is really jacked lol. Can't vote with this screen!

Will get out tommorow and take some picture, when it quits raining.

We had a major storm like that last year. Followed within a day or so by a foot and a half of snow. Bent my 20 foot bushes right to the ground. But on the plus side, ice can be really beautiful to photograph. I'm sure you'll have a blast photographing.

I was wondering who sent it our way. :p

Here in south-western Missouri its been raining hard all day and expected to freeze hard overnight. For now though, it is just nasty outside, and doesn't look to get any better -- local weather map.

It doesn't look as bad as what you discribe though.

Sorry, fast typing seems to have made my comment unclear. The statement "It doesn't look as bad as what you discribe though" was referencing the weather outside my door as compared to yours, and was not intended to be a challenge that yours was not as bad as you describe -- it does indeed look like you are getting hammered.

But I am still waiting for the pictures. :D

Oooh, yes, you must be suffering. Today I went for a run, and my hat froze to my balaclava (ski mask). -20 C here, supposed to warm up to a balmy -5 tomorrow (that's a break) before back to -20 to -30 by the weekend. That's about 40 degrees different than what it's supposed to be in your neck of the woods! Enjoy it!

I know. The temp is not all that bad just yet, and likely won't be at all here -- -10 is as low as I've seen it get. But after spending an hour in the heavy rain riding train cars as we moved them to the dock for unloading (and then three hours cold and wet while unloading them) I'm tired of being cold and wet. I am quite glad to be home and out of the rain and those wet clothes.

At least if it freezes I won't be wet tomorrow when I do it all over again. Of course, ice on the train tracks has its own unpleasantness. :(
