Very interesting sequence of picture here. Not sure of the validity of the source.

The thing you have to remember is that almost every person you see in those pictures is now dead. If you were in you house, in your hotel or just a little way inland you had a chance, but those people had very close to none.

And the wierd thing is, even as they turn to run, many of those people stil are unaware of what is happening. Look at the expression on some of the faces in image 8. It looks like some of the people are laughing. I guess they thought they would just get wet.

FYI, these do not appear to be recent pictures; the text at the bottom says:

Aaron R. has succeeded in proving to me that the pictures are not of the tsunami in Asia.

This pictures are from China, taken 8th september 2002. They showcase the Qiantang river in China, and it's an annual tourist attraction.
I believe that these pictures are from the Huangzoubay southwest of Shanghai, where the earths raotation and the bay's form together create a tsunami which comes monthly.

The photos show an EXTRA BIG wave which hurt 10 of the tourists, if I remember correctly one of this pictures was included in a Reuters article the 9th or 10th of september.

This kid's been reunited with his father a few days ago.

One of the sad parts of this catastrophe is the amount of spam and junk email with tsunami hoaxes. A british guy got arrested for spamming people telling them that their relatives are dead in Thailand...

thank you! how do you know about him being reunited? Was it on the news? Do you have a link I could send everyone in my email?
