Just a quote I really like from a John Mayer's song:

"They love to tell you 'stay inside the lines' but something's better on the other side" From No Such Thing

Imagineer, I am going to shamelessly steal your method of presenting quotes...it looks really neat and gives greater weight to the words printed!

Very nice!

This war hero was interviewed on prime time national TV, telling his story. 'And whilst flying, I got this nasty feeling that made me look over my left shoulder and yes, the focker was there. The feeling became more intense and I looked over my right shoulder just to see another focker next to me.' At that stage the anchor decided to clarify..'Ladies and gentleman, remember a Focker is a German airplane use during the...' 'Yes,..' interrupted the old war hero, '...but these fockers were flying Mescershmidts!'

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. Already they have raised up a monied aristocracy that has set the government at defiance. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs."

âItâs not a matter of whether the war is not real or if it is. Victory is not possible. The war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous. A hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance. This new version is the past and no different past could have ever existed. In principle the war effort is always planned to keep society on the brink of starvation. The war is waged by the ruling group against its own subjects, and its object is not the victory of over either Eurasia or East Asia but to keep the very structure of society intact.â
-George Orwell

If the earth were only a few feet in diameter, floating a few feet about a field somewhere, people would come from everywhere to marvel at it. People would walk around it marveling at its big pools of water, its little pools and the water flowing in between. People would marvel at the bumps on it and hold in it. They would marvel at the very thin layer of gas surrounding it and the water suspended in the gas. The people would marvel at all the creatures walking around the surface of the ball and at the creatures in the water. The people would declare it as sacred because it was the only one and they would protect it so that it would not be hurt. The ball would be the greatest wonder known and people would come to pray to it, to be healed, to gain knowledge, to know beauty and to wonder how it could be. People would love it and defend it with their lives because they would somehow know that their lives could be nothing without it. If earth were only a few feet in diameter.

I was just watching Family Guy, the episode where they get put in the Witness Protection Program and have to move to the Deep South. Stewie was playing a banjo and then then he said
"I feel so deliciously white trash! Mommy, I want a mullet!"

I thought it was just hilarious, but then again, everything he says is hilarious.

âwhy of course the people donât want war⦠But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger.â

"He's the best life insurance policy I could ever have!"

I have seen this quote attributed to both Eisenhower (concerning Nixon) and Nixon (concerning Agnew) in response to the question "Why did you pick --------- as your vice-president?"
