I just found out that I won first place in the landscape/nature category in the Everyman Photo Contest. There were so many good pics, I don't know how I won first place. I am just amazed!!! You can see all pics at www.theeveryman.com

WTG Rhonda, your "On the Edge of Dawn" is really cool. That's a big win, keep it up!
I spotted another dpc'er down a bit on the same page- the fifth Honorable Mention is by our own train, WTG Sally!
I haven't looked over all the categories yet, may be more of us. Anyone else spot a dpc'er shot among Everyman's winners?

Great work from all! I Honerable Mentioned last year, and put in 2 for this year, but was disqualified. Because they seem to thik that if you sell your photos (here on DPC) then you are considered "professional."
So, if you want to keep entering that one...don't sell ANY of your photos.
I am not bitter about it in any way, just I couldn't find my shots AT ALL after the contest. Their rules, their competition. Emailed them, they aapoligized for forgetting to tell me they considered me a professional. I did email and let them know that I am in no way close to professional (at least half of your income comes from it). It is my hobby at the moment and I am definitely eating alot of my earnings, to support this habit. They chuckled at that.
But just so you know for next year.
