Stationed in Poway, Cal is this guy named Brad Petersen. He joined DPC in April of this year and to date, count them, he has earned 9 ribbons.
What distinguishes this 48 year old fun guy is his tenacity to give the very best that he can in anything he touches. A master mechanic mind is very sharp and I have a suspicion that he is also very well organized. This attitude is his person. He aims with the bow of Sagittarius and his arrow pierces his target.
My first impression was his "Morning Essentials." In the masters he introduces his aloft. What an image, the envy of any photographer. The Sapling, and his beautiful, "Day break." With this one he changed the rules at DPC. In the impressionism, "Country Sunrise."
Observe the versatility and his unique renditions. He is quick like mercury and his concepts are always expertly spelled out in attractive and gorgeous images.
Give your attention to his port and check out the simple and penetrating image, "Grace."
Well, there is so much in there that I encourage those seeking improvement to sit back and enjoy the images. Something has to rub off on all lookers. Here is a participant that believes in knocking the ball out of the park.
My warm congratulations go out to Brad. Possibly one of the most lethal competitors in this site.

i completely agree with you, Daniel. Brad is a wonderful photographer and a genuinely pleasant soul. to speak with him is to be amazed at his self-effacing manner and his ability to always have a kind word. he says that his photos are just the result of luck but his talent can't be denied.
here's to Brad...a great friend and a truly talented photographer.

You've all been had. BradP is obviously just a thinly veiled acronym for a group of professional photographers bent on hogging all the DPC accolades for themselves. The full name is really: Bagging Ribbons And Dominating Photography. I saw right through it from the beginning and I'm surprised so many people were fooled by this group. Does anybody really think an auto mechanic can shoot like that? HA!

Graphicfunk has a quick eye to spot talent. I give credit where credit is due and I am always ready to sing the praises of those that deserve it. This site is after all, besides a learning ground, an album of wonderful photographers that dare compete.

Sher was right on the money when she said he always says his shots are the result of luck. Well, if that's the truth, what do I have to do to get some luck like that???? LOL
He is truly gifted. Thanks for posting this, Daniel! |

Actually, in one of his later posts, Brad qualified the "luck" concept with a detailed account of how much thought, planning, goal-setting, work and finishing went into his decision to start winning ribbons. He brought out the fact that some aren't actually that committed or motivated. It's luck, talent and determination that led to his success.

Holy Crap - I go to Reno for a couple days and look what happened!
LOL
I find it difficult to take compliments like this, as I don't hold a candle to the phenomenal talents that reside here on DPC. I guess as I learned from the vast talent pool here, I have become a product of this network, as I longed to be able to make great images instead of taking snapshots.
I won't even try and list individuals to thank as I know I will forget many and would rather thank all on this network for your generous contibutions and willingness to share.
I bow to all that have helped either directly or indirectly, in getting me where I am today.
