I didn't realize that it was the first day of deer hunting season until I heard it on the radio driving home from a hike in the woods. Apparently neither did she.

Thank you all. Normally I make it a point to stay out of the woods during hunting season but it slipped past me this year.

heh...I try to stay away from the woods this time of year too. Because I don't want to get shot, and because I don't want to disrupt the hunters. While I personally would never hunt, I can understand why some people do -- and also, deer are extremely plentiful here in southern Pittsburgh -- sometimes overpopulated in some areas.
