| An ad in the (Japanese) newspaper today for the new Olympus e300 DSLR, which will be on sale from 3 December. 8MP, with new technology to reduce dust bunnies. Website in Japanese. I wonder how much it will be... |

$900-ish is the current rumour. And yes, the dust filter really works, I should know.

| From what I've heard it's going to retail at $999 in the US. I suspect that it will come down in price with the price wars that will ensue between Canon, Nikon and Olympus, especially after the holidays. Canon will be coming out with the second version of the Rebel in March so expect prices to come down even more at that time on the E-300. |
