I've just uploaded a few of the better images I caught during the awesome auroral display of 07 November 2004. They can be viewed here. Enjoy! Comments welcome and appreciated.

Your pictures are awesome,I missed them that night but saw them two days later and they were not as good and green only on the 9th.Here is a gov site that can warn us up to 48 hours in advance when they will happen as it takes roughly 2 days for the effects of a solar flair to reach us!

It helps to be up north! The best I ever saw was in Churchill, Manitoba on the Hudson bay many years ago.Thats in the Auroral zone so they see them much more often.

Awesome, I thought the Peleng 8mm fisheye created a circular image. What did you do to convert that to full frame?

The Peleng would be a circular fisheye on a full frame camera, but on a 1.6x crop cam, it just produces black corners. On some of these, I did a "partial defish" with PanoTools, just enough to get rid of the corners. On other shots, I cropped strategically to eliminate them. On one shot, you can actually see the black corner in the upper right.
