| I need help. I am preparing a photo for Black & White II. The picture needs to be resized (1958 x 1958 pixels, 427 KB), but when I do it, the lines in the picture become pixelated on the edges. Is there any way to avoid this, or smooth it out (and still be acceptable according to the basic rules)? |

What program are you using? How are you resizing?
If you're using Photoshop there's a tutorial on it here.

Thanks Ann,
"Save for Web" in Photoshop made a huge difference in the appearance of my picture. Before, I was using Picture It. Most of the time I had no problems, but some of the pictures had very bad pixelization of contrasting lines after resizing and saving them. I can not understand why it was happening since almost identical photos (in size and subject) were giving me very different outcomes! |

No problem. Some times it's just weird that way. I know when I'd save a photo with more red in it I would get more pixelization and jaggies in Paint Shop Pro 8, but I had no problem in photoshop. It can also depend on how it was resized, what type of sharpening you used, and of course, how it was saved. ^_^ I'm glad it worked!
