My favorite extensions:

Close Tab on Double Click - just like it says
MiniT - allows dragging of tabs to rearrange
Add Bookmark Here - another way to stick one in a folder or subfolder
Jumplink - opens redirect links

By the way, if you only have a 2 button mouse, you can also open a new tab using ctrl-click on PC (command-click on Mac?)

There is also the cool "Open in Tabs" function on a bookmark folder where, if you have, say 5 pages on photography that you visit daily, just keep them in one bookmark folder and click "Open in Tabs" and it will go to all 5 pages at once for you.
