Everything But The Girlby JudiComment: Hey...i may be wrong but i think i saw this shot in a portfolio!
Anyway, i really like her expression, the light and the position of the girl gave a nice touch to the composition. I just don't understand the mud on her face.
I think you should take the shot out of the portfolio, some people can judge you here by your other works. Geez, i just can't remember if i saw this before or not. hahaha! Anyway, good work! |

yellow by LelezComment: Nossa Lelez!!! Foto muito boa!
Great abstract, congrats for the posthumous blue ribbon! I hope you keep joining more challenges, it's really nice to have another brazilian in every open challenge!
Parabéns pelo escore também!
PS: Nesse eu não fui tão bem, hehe, acho que o pessoal achou muito normal e não achou meu objeto muito "circular"! Message edited by author 2009-08-12 00:44:23. |

Another Day Passes Byby Alex_EuropaComment: Hi, i really loved this shot because of the nice effect on the sky. The 88" exposion add's so much to this shot, so as the colors of the sky.
I really would like to see more light on the graves, like the CC said down here. Probabbly a pp on them wouldn't be enough to make them more brighter, right?
Just a question, what about the aperture? Couldn't it be less then f/16?
Well, i'm not experient, but i think this is a nice shot, and with the graves a little brighter it would probably be on my favorites!
Nice job! Message edited by author 2009-08-12 12:03:46. |

Story of my lifeby krronosComment: I understand your idea by the tittle you gave to that shot, but i think that your intention isn't clear by the image itself...the floor at the left top and the right bottom is really distracting, and the flash you used killed the colors. I really like your idea, but i think it needs more tweaking, maybe using a baby's shoe and continue by age, it's just an idea...try to use some time of exposure next time, so you don't have to use the flash.
Hope i was clear and helpfull...sorry if i was rude in any way.
Good luck! |

5 inches tallerby arturo105Comment: I think you had a good idea and did a good job with the colors...but the image looks oof and a little grainy for me, and that's making it looks like a snapshot. I hope you don't feel offended by this comment, it's just my opinion..good luck to you! |

Foot Where?by cjgormanComment: I think the biggest problem on that shot is that the shoes (which are the prime object) are out of focus. I like the perspective you used, but i didn't get the idea (not even by the title), and the flash of your camera really killed the colors and gave a harsh light at some parts of the floor and shoes.
I hope you don't take this bad, it is just my opinion.
Good luck to you. |

Losing Last Nightby jballardComment: Oh, naughty shot huh!? heh! I just think that the part of the stairs (or something else) at the top is distracting, and i don't see where is the focused part in this shot. I like the idea but maybe you could try focusing the part of the shoe where the painties are, to make your idea more clear. Try no to cut a part of your prime object too!
Good luck, sorry if i was rude! |
