Streets of Bangalore by choltmeierComment: Nioce colors and expression in this one. The lines of age show on her face. You can see a sense of dignaty in her. I like the way she makes eye contact with the photographer. I like the blurred backround. You can tell she is on the street which is good. |

No money but happy...by soonComment: Very nice capture here. You caught a nice expression on his face. He definatly looks happy but we could be wrong here. he could be a person in need of meental help. Nice sharp focus on him the colors in the backround are nicely out of focus. Perhase if you cropped a little bit closer on the right hand side of the frame just to the lines on the building it would make for a tighter and better pictuere. I bet this would look great in B&W as well. |

spare changeby DoubledizzleComment: Nice focus on the woman begging for money. He expression shows sadness and a hard life. I see you used a slow shutter speed in this picture. The hand and fingers look more like a claw it distracts my attention of the person begging. It looks more like something from a horror movie. It looks like it will do harm to the person that help them out. I like the lighting on the begger and shadows. |

Carefree childhood by ZigomarComment: This is a hard life for any child. A cardboard and wooden house. It looks like it is ready to fall down in a bad storm. The garbage all around the building shows a slum for the poor. I see hope and sadness in this picture. Hope is that the young child is the future and sadness that she lives in such squalor. |

Life on a riverby LevTComment: Nice colors in this picture. Nice dov and focus. You can see by the way the house boat looks that they live a hard life on the river. Looks like they survive day to day by fishing. Nice reflection on the still waters as well. |

Hoboby Trumpeteer4Comment: This looks more of a Halloween picture than a true picture on poverty. Kids that run away from home don't dress or look this way anymore. To me this would have been more approtiate for a Halloween contest. You have nice sharp focus on the person and nice colors in the leaves in the backround. |

Forgottenby pete0121Comment: Sad picture here. His is disabled withpart of his leg amputated. The artifical one in on the right side of the picture next tot he water bottle. He is sitting next to his house with all of his belonging next to him. It shows how as differnt cultures we take care of the poor and homeless. |

Talk to CHUCKby debitiptonComment: What contrasts. The advertisement for Charles Schwab and the homeless man on a bench. I like that you showed some of his personel belonging on the right side of the picture frame. the mans posture show it all. He is totally dejected and lost. What a contrast of life. |

Poverty? I just don't see it.by OdedComment: Contrasts. The woman on the looks homeless and hungry. The lady on the street has some pizza. I think you should not have cut the lady on the right off in the middle. She accually looks more of a distraction. This would have been a stronger picture with just the lady on the left. I put a piece of paper covering the person on the right and cropped her out. This accually made for a stronger picture. Your sole attention would have been on the homeless person. Try it out when you get the chance. |

Mobile Home by MAKComment: Nice capture. the use of B&W works well here. I like the focus on the man with the bike. Nice details in his face and clothes. The blurring in the backround keeps my attention on the subject. |
