Hi Erica The grey background is actually brilliant white However we sat the model about 10ft away from the sheet to that the light provided by the two softboxes dropped off and made the white appear grey. The further away the model is from the background or the lower power on the strobes the darker the background will appear.

Hi Richard I couldn't agree more. I find it really difficult to get the person to naturally blend into the background. I have tried your lighting approach before, I was please with the result what do you think?
