Nice use of contrasting colors here. Also really like the shadows. Focus is dead on on the four o'clock egg. The DOF is too tight though. This makes the rest of the image a little hard to look at.

I'm not really big on the psychedelic colors in this example. I can't really tell if the focus is good or not. It does look a little blown out on the top, center to left, part of image.

Interesting take on the challenge! I love how she is trying to put the spatula in her mouth up & down instead of sideways. Nice choice to go B/W The focus seems a little soft though. Did you do this on purpose? The DOF should be (IMHO) a little tighter or the cropping. The stuff in the background and to her right is very distracting. You took this at work didn't you. Where do you cook?

Pretty good focus here. Nice textures too. However as a photo it's not to appetizing. I would pull back on the crop a little. I would like to see the cooking process in a shot like this. As Emerill would say, "you need to call your cable operator and request that smell-o-vision" ;-)

Awesome contrast in colors! Love the blue against red! The DOF is quite shallow though making the mac & cheese look not so appetizing! Also the reflections on the macaroni are distracting!

Like the composition here, but it is a touch busy. The focus is a touch soft (were you trying for that effect?) bud DOF looks good! The whites are blown out so you can\'t see any details also. This is especially noticable in the cook book!

Nice focus. A little bit more light from above/ behind would help eliminate the shadows. There is a little bit of a tilt too. From a compositional view point, It's a little busy. There are too many competing visual patterns or textures.
