White Pelicanby MWittComment: Technically very nice, but it kind of leaves me wanting. Perhaps if I was more into this bird and knew more about the habits and what it was doing at the moment it would have more of an impact with me...

Human abstractionby nico_blueComment: Simply awesome lighting and tonality. Great textures and depth. Compositionally I'm not 'held' by this shot. It almost looks like more of a study shot. Just MY humble opinion.

Too Much Grass Again!!by SteveJComment: Not a bad composition, but... You used the flash on the camera didn't you... You would be much better off putting the camera on tripod (best) or another secure solid surface and using existing light. This is very flat and harsly lit. The depth is all washed out by the proximity of the flash with the lens...

On the Marchby drgsoellComment: That's a stroll! Body language doesn't match being on march... At least not in my memory of boot camp days... Too much going on in the background takes away from the main subject of the shot. Like the road, just too much unnecessary stuff to the right of the three.

Dipped in Pink by rscorpComment: Very nicely done! Your focus is spot on, great textures in the petals. Wonderful lighting. Great colors without being oversaturated. Nice composition. Only complaint is that the white border kinda competes with the subject.

Beadsby shavenwalrusComment: Meets the challenge, but not very interesting to look at. No holding value.

Tri-Toneby Zap228Comment: IMHO, Your DOF is too shallow. (It almost looks like it was PS'ed in) The lines on the paper are distracting and don't add to the composition. Your leading lines are not bad, but lose some impact with the lack of focus.

IMG_1157train.jpgby L1Comment: I love trains! And I love figuring out how things work. This is just a cool shot for me to look at. Great leading lines and awesome tonality. Gives it a great old time feel. Best thing about it though is the soft focus. You did it perfect here. All the detail is there. Sharp as a tack this would simply be a mechanics illustration. Soft focus and it's simply art...
