Only a Picture Nowby trnqltyComment: Incredible amount of detail for such a dark scene. Nicely focused. I know I sometime have issues with low light focusing. You did good here. The only thing is, there doesn't seem to be a subject per se. No where for your eye to rest. You have leading lines and depth into the scene, but no resolution at the end of your eyes journey so to speak...

Just before hitting your score, I noticed a what looks like an off centered face within the framelike object... Kinda creapy. You get one bonus point! ;-) |

Stairway to Heavenby diogenes350bceComment: Awesome looking stairs and scene. Too bad the time of day had such harsh lighting and shadows... Can you go back and reshoot at a different time of day preferably early morning or late evening whichever is better for the direction the stairs face? If you could, I would like to see a reshoot here!

Forgottenby ChiquiComment: This would have been an awesome shot if you used a polarizing filter to make the sky really dramatic! Your subject is a touch dark though as it is presented here...

Silent Sentryby datcatComment: Very nicely captured! Great vibrant colors in an otherwise black and white challenge. Where is this building and what was it's purpose? It looks like a lighthouse, but I don't think that's what it is nor a silo...

The Old Rambin Placeby Kathryn8Comment: So far this is best of show for this viewer in spite of the obnoxiously distracting white border. You managed to take what appears to be a blown out sky and use it to actually set a mood to this shot. It looks like you used a fish eye lens, but I'm not sure if it truly was or if it's a trick of the eye and the framing of the tree... Unfortunately I can't give you my highest score because of the frame. I find it very distracting and pulls my eye away from the image itself. Oh did I mention the awesome tonality?
Kudos

Days Gone Byby L1Comment: Awesome tones and softish focus effect goin' on here! If ya dare give away your secrets, I wanna know how you achieved this! If I nick pits (:-P) the only thing I find a little distracting is the darkness (lack of detail) in the tractors rear tire...
Yours as always
