Everything about this image was beautifully thought out, and superbly executed. The tones are delightful. Vermeer comes to mind. A perfect still life.

This is my favorite photo in the challenge. I think it is brilliant, from conception, to execution, to toning, even the title... What I am struggling with is the connection to Upside Down. Maybe I am just being obtuse!? It will be interesting to see what other comments you get on this. Anyhow, very well done.

IMHO, this is by far and away the best image in the competition. I have nothing to add that hasn't been said, except it is preposterous that anyone could fairly grade this as a 1, 2, or 3. Rather than blame the alleged "trolls," I suspect it is more likely done by those with a vested interest in lowering your score. But having said that, I would also say who cares?! You have the satisfaction of knowing you have mad skills, and have produced a memorable portrait.

If I were asked, I'd say this photo is under, rather than over, exposed.

IMHO, a photo like this - especially as your title emphasizes - the eyes need to be razor sharp. They seem soft to me.
