Temporary universeby MelethiaComment: this might be my favorite from your portfolio just because ive never seen water look so soft, even in 5 minute exposure "DPClassic sunrise shots" ( what i like to call the inevitable winners of every challenge). rather than the exposure making the water soft looking the reflected bokeh and the hard contrasty forms of the pebbles create this serene feel that i get from the shot |

Restingby MelethiaComment: wow ive never used lightroom but i should start! thats a great preset :P
i really like the juxtaposition of movement ( the bike) and rest
despite the number of shape and edges they really don't make the image too busy but rather enhance the geometric nature of the bike and her pose. i like it :) |

... Indelible Ink ...by michaelmonnComment: Thanks so much Melethia. its really encouraging to hear support from talented photographers like Love and yourself. i was hoping to do a little better ( break 6 possibly) but i like how the photo came out and im glad to hear that other people like it too :)
ps: jon loved them. i have several more in my portfolio on here. even ones without his hat.

... Indelible Ink ...by michaelmonnComment: Thanks so much for the kind votes on my first free study! :) i agree about the hat but it really wasnt my choice for the photo. this was a shoot i did for my best friend jon before he moved to arizona. he wanted a way to remember this part of his life. |

by MephistoComment: this is simply incredible. the lines, the shapes, everything. definitely my favorite of the 3. the contrast and edgy lighting gives it an even jazzier feel. |

by MephistoComment: i like the lighting balance. its sort of the same as i used on some of my recent shots of my mother ironically haha. i think subject-wise you did a great job making her stick out ( in a good way) from the group :) |

Moonrise over Navy Pierby essayComment: cool night shot. i dont know if its legal in advanced but maybe doing a bracketed exposure and masking in a better exposed moon wouldve improved the shot for me |
