Black Blue Blackby TranquilComment: Great capture of the expression on the dog's face. I notice that one eye is brown and the other one is a bit darker, so I can't really tell iff it is totally in color. Too bad about clipping off the top of it's ear. I would like more of an even crop: with both ears distance from the edge the same. I love black labs (have one myself), thier eyes can just say it all. Nice job. |

Passing Byby KonadorComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
(Oh, great, one of Konador's shots! lol)
Composition: emorgan49 goes through the leading lines well. I also think the lit spots gravel/road is a bit annoying, but they do give a nice texture. Maybe it would be better in the point of interest (the dude) were closer to the road, but that would also mean he wouldn't be in the driver's seat. This is minor, but it would be cool in the wheel on the bottom were pointing at him. I don't know if you tried this, but maybe him standing outside the car, like sitting on the hood looking at the map. Then you would have to show less of the car, and composition may have improved. Then of course getting him that steady for 30 seconds.
Technical: I don't get why the left side of the car is lit up, wouldn't it be dark? Skin tones seem a bit unnatural, but the lighting from car headlights/tail lights is unnatural. I don't really like the pink reflection either; it would probably stand out a bit more if the car was a dif. color. I do like the streaks in the background, give a nice sense of time to the image.
Meets the Challenge: Check.
Overall: I like that the image tells a story, but I think it could have been set up better. |

Blue Fountainby banmornComment: This must have took a while to to desaturate. The blue with the black background. But if it was only a few color, you probably could of used hue/saturation instead of selectivly getting each little dot of color :).
The top of the fountain seems a bit overexposed. I wonder what this would have looked like with a faster or slower shutter-speed. Nice use of the texture in the background, good contrast between foreground/background. Love the impact on the bottom. |

Engine # 3985by jab119Comment: Nice lighting, really makes it stand out and look extremely 3D (perfect sharpness helped too). One of the best train shots so far. |

No Joy left in this Ride by muur88Comment: Great shot, definate wow factor. Very well setup. I don't like how the title inconsitant in capitalization, but that is minor. This should be in the top 10, possibly top 3, but we'll see (sorry about the rhyme). |

Hurry up and waitby jazzmanmgtComment: So true, nice shot of ruch hour. I like the high up perspective. Image could probably use a bit more sharpening. |

High Speed Truckingby artvetComment: Interesting shot, does show high speep, but I can't really look at this picture long without my eyes hurting. Road is noisy. Maybe if you tried panning with the truck to get it in focus and the background blurred, instead of vise versa. I like the (I presume) sunset colors. |

The fastestby darixComment: Or the slowest =), nice action shot, grass seems a bit oversharpened. Harsh lighting during the day, nothing you could do. |
