What a sweet dog. I would have cropped this closer or taken the picture much closer to the dog. There is too much empty space around him and the photo isn't the most clear.

He doesn't appear to be looking at anything off screen. He looks rather relaxed, happy and content -- almost as if he is about to fall asleep. He looks like a chip-off the old block! Sweet photo...

This picture has a lot of emotion to it. It is quite beautiful the message it gives about the loyalty of a friend. I love it, though it breaks my heart. The dogs look well cared for though which is great. I just don't know what the off-screen expectation is...forgive me. I also would have cropped it much closer than you did.
