It's a good photo, and one that evokes a strong emotion. But I don't know if it evokes the image of faith, hope, or charity. I think more of sadness, depression, anger.

The hand in this photo is unsightly looking (I'm not saying you have an ugly hand, I just mean that at the proximity of the shot and the odd position of the hand), the purple shadow on it is odd looking, and the white is too dominate.

Metallic elements are difficult to photograph, especially in a basic editing challenge where you have fewer tools at hand. The focus on the cross seems a bit off, and the text is slightly askew. You would have been better off to either take great care to align the text so that it was dead on with your lens or to rotate the camera to the side and increase the perspective. That way it doesn't look like a mistake as here where it's slightly off.
