Absolutely stunning. Bravo! The colour saturation really makes this shot. The cacti are jut a little too much especially the one in the very near foreground on the right.

This is a very nice and well composed image.
Colours are clean and the choice to use limited tones works very well.

I think the crop on the right is a bit tight. I like being able to see the textures of the eggs and basket.
Possible an additional reflected light source would have eliminated the shadow from the handle.

Most of the eggs are matte and there are two in the basket that are shiney. I think having all the eggs be the same would have provided an additional contrast with the basket.

Why didn't this do better in the challenge? It's a great shot and well executed.

I think, and of course this is my opinion, it doesn't have what many people look for, the WOW factor is low. It doesn't evoke an emotional response.

I'm not sure how you would have included that elusive element.

A dramatic spot lit area? There was some stiff competion in this challenge.

A technically excellent shot. Congratulations.
