Wonderful human-interest shot. I, for one, love the busy-ness of the counter and the shelves, and the placement of your focal point off to the left. He kind of gets lost among the clutter...almost like camouflage so no one will see him sneaking a bite. LOL!

She's Still the One

This is sweet (the title is wonderful!). A nice contribution to the challenge. A little dark and I wish your couple were standing a little closer to one another. The woman in the background (with the white shirt, not so much the one in the dress) detracts from them and the gentleman's facial expression is barely seen.

Beer and Cigarettes

I like the concept but without the title, I would probably have a hard time figuring out what the picture is of. The glass on the left looks more like milk than beer and the one on the right is so dark it gets lost. A different angle on the ashtray might have worked better too, since you can't really see what's inside.

This is a beautiful shot of YOUR point of view as you spend a night on the town. I don't like that little bitty blue spot on the left because it's so contrasting to the other earth tones of the scene, but all in all, it's a nice picture.

Palermitan fresh fruits.

The thing I find interesting about this choice of shots is that when one thinks of "A Night on the Town," one does not normally think of fresh fruit stands. I think including people in the scene is important because it does qualify this as being a way to spend a night out. I'm not sure I care for the composition as much as the theme though. There is a lot of blurring on the sides and in the lights that may or may not be intentional, but which I don't find appealing.

This is a beautiful fireworks shot. You captured the lights at just the right moment and I love the framing with the memorial on the left.

To be an outstanding challenge photo, I think it needs to look like something more than a snapshot of a pal. This looks like something anyone could take from any camera. There are reflections on the glasses, the lighting isn't particularly exciting and, although it's a nice point of view of the challenge theme, it doesn't have a whole lot of impact.

The Night Starts Here

I can accept this as a nightfall shot, but since the theme of the challenge is night on the town, I would have preferred to see something to indicate a town in the shot. However, it is a nice photo, the sun and grass nicely balanced on the page and I love the colors.

A nice take on the theme of the challenge. The focus seems a little blurry to me but I like the smile you captured and the light of the glasses making these two things the strong focal point of the shot. It says exactly what you want it to.

Very powerful image. Just enough light finds your lost soul so that he (she?) is not completely lost to the darkness. This is one of those rare photos that really speaks to me. I love it.
