Sweet Dreamsby dandavisComment: Definitely from a distance - probaly at least30-40 yards away. The mother coyote was just out of sight behind a rock to the right (never could get a clear shot of her) and probably wouldn't have taken too kindly to my trying to get close to her pup. It was shot with my 250 mm zoom lens and the cropped from that. Although it's a bit dark, I loved the expresson on the pup's face. Message edited by author 2011-10-03 19:54:22. |

In this case, it is lead contamination from the lead and zinc mining enterprise (which was used to form most of the bullets used in world Wars I and II). The government comes in, buys up the property, and relocates the peaople who lived there. Picher at one time had a population of more than 10,000.
