Kick your boots offby LCDeHaanComment by Dirt_Diver: IMO this should have some darker tones to it. It looks very 2 dimensional but could be a very good 3 dimensional B&W with some burning or some adjustments. |

Sparklersby LCDeHaanComment by ThingFish: Quote"Not my favorite picture, but my other firework shots didn't turn out the way I wanted and I just had to submit something due to my new year's resolution. I figure I'm not going to get any better without participating! So here is my first submission."Unquote
It might also help if you make an effort to look at other peoples photos also and to make a few comments once in a while and to participate in voting. I notice you have done none of those things. One cannot just go along for the ride and expect other people to look at your photo's and vote and comment on them without also doing the same for other people. You know that old saying? "One hand washes the other" In other words..." give and take"

Single Tree Reflectedby LCDeHaanComment by BeeCee: The lighting was the only thing that let this down for me. Other than the flatness, I like your interpretation of the challenge :) |

Silencedby LCDeHaanComment by ThingFish: Yes..looks like they have been silenced. I hope they lived to a ripe old age and went peacefully. Does convey a definitive sense of silence. Cropped in a little too tight for my liking. 5 |

Silencedby LCDeHaanComment by JMart: Very appropriate subject. My first reaction was that this was a little oof, but looking at it closer I think focus is fine, but the faded nature of the stones made it feel more oof than it is to me. I wonder if it would feel less that way if the focus was on the most detailed part, that sculpted circle on the left. I'm not sure. Still, a very effective portrayal of silence. |

Single Tree Reflectedby LCDeHaanComment by Melethia: I do think this does meet the challenge in a novel way, and I think your presentation could be stronger with an increase in brightness/levels. |

Silencedby LCDeHaanComment by paynekj: A good choice of subject, and going mono was the right choice, but the "jaunty" angle isn't helping get me in the silent mood. |
