Tori Bethby sabphotoComment: Very pretty young lady. Hard to go wrong with a model of this sort. Strong, non descriptive background.
There is a lot of that non-descriptive background. I would like to see a version cropped to a vertical portrait. I think the shot has a bit of a color cast. |

Black Hat, Blue Eyesby PixlmakerComment: Well, you asked.
I really like this shot. The model is lovely and I quite like the pose and lighting. The hat is a wonderful addition. Feel free to post all you like. |

Sublime Tulip Unfoldingby KenComment: What can one say? Beautiful, yes, even sublime. I might have opted for a bit shallower depth of field, but that might have ruined the shot. |

Tummy Shotby LadyKComment: Nice tummy, I didn't really notice the finger nails. :-)
I have been past this photo many times in the past and always stopped to view it. I like it very much. It is sensual, without being blatant. Your dirty fingernails, which, BTW, I have noticed in the past, make me think this is an image of a young lady, taking a brief break from working in the garden on a warm summer's day.
I pretty sure I would not put it in the nude category, and probably not the portrait category, because I have a parochial definition of portrait that includes a face. Too bad there isn't a category for Zen photo.
Nice exposure and focus control. You defocused the background just enough to prevent it from grabbing ones view, but it is sufficient shart to let the observer know this is a pastoral scene.
It is very pleasant. Nice job. I like it very much.

Bovines Country Domainby IvoryComment: This ole bovine make me laugh... what a look on the face. Great! Nice exposure, but I think I might have tried to shrink the dept of field a bit more. As you have already cut off the tips of the horns, perhaps a further crop, eliminating more of the white sky, and a bit of the extra bovine in the backgound, would spruce up the shot.
Very nice. |

Rain Soaked Treeby MaryOComment: Perfect title for this shot and for the challenge. Nice focus on the flowers and the background is nicely out of focus. I think I might have cropped out some of the background and made it a vertical image, although you would have to have some of the background to support the "tree" in the title.
Great shot. |

Rusty Stationary Trainby JeniYComment: Great shot. It looks like it could pull up next to the "Quaint Rail Station" in this challenge. They have similar very stormy weather color balance and cloud formations. |

Hilarity Is Justified!!by JudiComment: Amazing color. I really don't know how folks get that much color in a shot. It is wonderful in this instance. Is hilarity justified? We can only guess, or take the title's word for it. ;-) |

Radiant Snow Trilliumby scrum8Comment: Truly a radiant flower. Great selection of title and subject for the challenge. The shadow across the lower pedel is unfortunate. Great depth of field... |

Our Power Questionedby CorySmithComment: I understand this. I get the question. I hope that it is universally understood, but I doubt it. I expect many would see this shot as an advertizement for high powered, large displacement, sporty cars. This is a very powerful image and a powerful question, but I am not sure the image and question are obviously linked. ... that is just one man's opinion.
I really like how you caught the reflection of the headlights and the contrast between the sky and car in both color and intensity is great.
I really like this image. |
