El-Dez Roets Photography (29).jpgby Bellissimo0106Comment: I have said this before, and I will say it again. It is hard to go wrong when one is working with a beautiful model. This is just a great series.
As I am at a workshop studying lighting etc. I wonder if the shadow on the models left and the washing out of her arms was intended.
In any event, this is a very nice series of great shots of a beautiful model. |

Living in a Tropical Worldby chaliceComment: Great job... the sort of thing that I enjoy doing. One tiny comment, the right foot is beautifully planted on the leaf, but it looks like the left foot is about to step off the leaf.
Perhaps extending the reflection on the leaf just far enough to extend beyond the toes would have addressed this. First I thought about suggesting a move of your image up and to the right just a touch to keep the toes on the leaf, but since the right foot is so beautifully planted, I wouldn't want to upset that.
Very nice job. |

IMG_2547.jpgby BradComment: Now, I have to ask... Where do they have National Free Hugs Day? I suppose in Oceanside. I guess I will have to put a trip there on my calendar for next year.
Of the three you posted, I like this one the best. The confused expression on the passerby is priceless, but it is perfect that he is a bit out of focus. I also got a chuckle out of the "DO NOT" on the sign between the young lady and the bemused passerby.
Wonderful. One just can not beat being in the right place at the right time. |

R E C Y C L Eby bnileshComment: I just came across your image when browsing recent downloads and thought to myself: "Why isn't this in the green challenge. I think it would have done well. You did an amazing job of having the globe lens the background. Very clever idea and execution.
I am not sure what I think of the upper left hand corner of the recycle sign. On the one hand, it is lost in fog or something. On the other hand, if it were perfect, it might have looked fake. In either case, it would have gotten a very good score from me. |

Rebecka In Universe Editedby TCGuruComment: Great job. Isn't it amazing what one can do with a little time.
So, the wings were strictly out of your fingers? Superb! |

Paper Girlby -Bec-Comment: There once was a girl from St. Paul,
who wore a newspaper dress to a ball.
The dress caught on fire,
and burned its entire;
Front page, Sports section, and all.
Love it. |

Beauty...jpgby Bellissimo0106Comment: Lovely lady, nicely lit, nearly perfect focus. All in all, a wonderful shot and a portrait any woman should be proud to display. |

Pride to some, Greed & Wrath to othersby indigo997Comment: I see you suffered some of the same sort of pro/con wrath I did with my crime scene challenge entry.
I agree that this is a top flight journalism photo. It always helps to be in the right place at the right time. Very well exposed, and you got a good typically smirky expression.
I will admit that my feeling about this man would likely have negatively impacted a vote I might have placed had I been in this group at the time. I hope it wouldn't have. Regardless of how one might feel about the this person, this is an excellent photograph.
Bye the way... you missed arrogance. ;-) |

Satisfiedby TCGuruComment: How did I manage to miss this shot of you. It is great. There is little I can add that hasen't already been said, but I concur with all of it. Your personality and pride just come storming out of the picture. I think you must have had great fun making this.
Congratuations! |

Her Savior by MephistoComment: I am not surprised that you got a first on this shot. I also recognized that it was in the style of the Pieta, but with the genders reversed. I didn't know if that is what you had in mind or not, but the shot is wonderful regardless of how it came to be.
I liked the idea of the gender reversal, but wondered if you would get grief for it from any of our members. I am very pleased that you did not. I choose not to vote in this challenge, but if I had this would have gotten a 10 from me. |
