Bypassedby glad2badadComment: Softer focus on the tree here gives it a haunting quality, I really get a feel for being out in the middle of nowhere with this shot. 7 from me |

Divisionby mpetersComment: I like what you were going for here, if it were possible I would have taken the shot from a somewhat higher perspective so that at least some of the main trunk of the tree showed |

ravens roost...by asimchoudhriComment: My favorite so far, likely going to be in my top 5. I like the contrast of the rocks that the tree is on with the forest below. Beautiful exposure, really exudes a feeling of a sentinel looking over the valley below. |

Barkby MotekComment: That old tree has a lot of character and you did a great job capturing it |

The Winding Roadby onesaintComment: I see the "single tree" that you were using to meet the challenge, but to my eye it is lost in the other background trees and doesn't command enough attention to make the image fit the challenge well. However the image overall for me is technically a nice one, I like the sky, the overall mood of the image and the use of monotone. |

Mountain's Guardianby goinskiingComment: If it was possible I would have zoomed out a bit more and placed the tree off center in this composition, looks a bit static as it is |

Boys and Treesby manic35Comment: Wow what a cool tree! You did a great job of maintaining detail in the darker parts of the tree and still not significantly blowing out the bright areas in the background. |

Excruciatingby gysComment: I like the lighting here, really brings out the texture of the bark. The sky has an attractive quality to it as well. |
