Didn't really like the time of day i visited this tree but wanted to get something into the challenge for HTH with Ecce Signum.

This little tree's roots have split this rock into two pieces, you can see both. I did'nt do a good job showing off the roots to really complete the story. It is about 12' from the ground to the base of the tree and the roots extend the whole way. Pretty fascinating but better in person! :)

The colors are nice in this, but the tree seems like it may not capture enough of the focus.

this is a nice shot however the subject and even your title seam to be more of the rocks rather then the tree itself not really sure but i question if this will get hit with a lot of DNMC

I like this shot but wish the top wasn't so tight.

The rocks seem to be more of the subject than the tree..

I like what you were going for here, if it were possible I would have taken the shot from a somewhat higher perspective so that at least some of the main trunk of the tree showed

Sorry, but to me the rocks are the main subjects here.
