I agree with you raish - but when it comes to DPC eye contact buys you about a point every time. If I shot this again for 1ex I'd definitely avoid it. Photography is a funny old game.

You've only had a few entries on here but the creativity and style here reminded me of your other shots. I've got a feeling it's only a matter of time before you're cleaning up the ribbons on here. This needs a bit of Work IMO. Nice idea - cool use of a shaped filter. I don't think the composition on santa is quite there, maybe slighly further back and sitting flat. Also this is a bit noisy - probably due to shooting at high ISO because it was dark. Try using noise Ninja or Neat image to sort these problems out.

I do like this shot but - and I don't normally have a problem with this - the frame is really distracting and unnecessary. The beauty of this shot IMO lies in the subdued grey/brown tones of the background offset by the flash of red in the foreground. The Frame really kills the subtlety I think. Cool shot though.
