timby GordonComment: Good moment, looks a bit posed so you'll probably lose marks with DNMC fascists. I would have liked to see all of both his hand but that's a nitpick. |

Moodby dmaddenComment: Excellent capture of a quiet moment in hat looks to be a loud festival or performance. Colourful, sharp and well composed, nice DOF too. |

Restby TiberiusComment: Nice shot, I would have preferred the composition to be not quite so central. |

I have to say though getting this many people to listen to you, move around to where you want them and then look at the camera whilst hanging out of an ancient window was not easy. I actually had a bottle of beer in one hand and the camera in the other to encourage the "cheers" - only a few actually did it though! |

Windingby nico_blueComment: Ah the magic of Gaudi, the man is perhaps the most creative and innovative architect in modern history. |

Jumpby selesianaComment: I like the idea but I think it could be improved in a number of ways. Firstly, move further away from the wall, this would decrease the shadow cast on the wall and make the shot more believable. As it is this shot seems a little weird because we are supposed to be under the impression that the girl is skipping, and that at the moment the shot was taken the rope is underneath the girl, however because she is so close to the wall this is clearly impossible as the rope can't travel behind her. This combined with the fact that she is staring straight at the camera and smiling make it seem very very posed. I also find the mat and floor a little distracting - obviously not everyone has a studio in their house, but I think a well ironed sheet lit brightly as a background would have helped remove the distracting features in this shot, making it more suitable for stock. I think you've got the right idea with the lighting, subject and style though, it just needs a bit of refining to make it great! |
