Dragon's Wrath by RianBotesComment: Thank you all for the very kind comments. I really appreciate and all credit goes to my patient wife who allows me to go on hikes. Soon she would have to join me however once my youngest of 4 are able to join in and carry his own backpack. Not long to go. Untill then my 7 and 10 year olds are doing an amazing job at rugging it out in nature and loving it as much as dad. My own dad at 69 I have new respect for since he did make this trip with us..as he has done so on countless of other occasions. He always puts up with my bad cooking and makes the food disappear somewhere over a cliff...(yes I know dad) Eating does not feature to highly on the priority list.
Thanks once again to all. Best whishes for a great 2010. Soccer world cup in SA...what a year we are looking forward to.

Diablo Beachby orvaratliComment: I really did believe this would get a ribbon...you just missed out on that but that takes nothing away from a shot that had me stumped and believing it would def trump all others. Beautifull!! |

When I Were King by MAKComment: Congratulations on this photo. Being from South Africa myself I apprecite pictures such as this presenting these wild cats in any special way. The face, together with title tells the story of a much bigger scenario playing down here in Africa. It is very special seeing these animals in the wild and free in our parks and hope this can be the case for as long as possible. Also thanks for your compliments. Regards |

The Orleans Stone Houseby jimboneComment: I absolutely love this. Im not going to even try and analyze what I feel work and does not work but its just one of those photos that pulls you in. No doubt horsey on left has a lot to do with it but the whole scene works so well. Very good capture. 8
Bump this up to a 9 for sure |

Rotor Washby CorySmithComment: Wow...Lucky fish to be in air with this happening. Well captured. A slower shutter would have helped in giving the blade more movement but yes, Tricky to get that as well as a sharp pic. |
