L'heure Magiqueby odriewComment: Great job... my favorite of the challenge. Thanks for your PS outline too! When you say blended in 75% soft light, did you do anything besides duplicating the layer and setting it to soft layer and 75%? Aynway, nice job! |

Against The Streamby bubeltrubelComment: I like the idea and execution of this photo. I'm not sure I feel the idea behind it. I can see the dynamism in the white boats, but that red boat seems static to me. It seems he is like an island, and all the other boats are going around him like a stream, but I can't feel the story. But, I like the curve of the formations contrasting with the angles of the boats, and going off into the distance of the boats at the top of the frame. 6. |

The Final Hourby bassboneComment: Nice colors and choice of object. Did you get any (not for this challenge, obviously) just after or before the boat passed? I would like to see those. |

Old Glouster Harborby noranekoComment: I like this photo. The soft focus and grain give it a film-like quality. Have you considered a square crop leaning a bit to the right from the middle? It appears that you were very eager to include the buoy on the left, but I think it takes away from what shoul dbe the focus of the picture: the house int he back. |

Fanfare on a Summer Eveningby Bear_MusicComment: I think simplify works well here and the left side of the house and the trees look very nice, but the boat does not feel like an important part of this picture. |

A Lazy Afternoonby pjangelComment: I think this may be more interesting in black and white, maybe push the blacks up a bit. |

Weathering the Stormby EBJonesComment: Something for me doesn't seem to hit with this photo. I think its an extremely compelling subject, and a nice composition. Lightning is hard! Especially so directed. I think maybe the lack of contrast is at the wrong part of the curve. I can see are going with not boosting the contrast, though. Did you try B/W? |
