Great timing! I can really feel the storm in this image - the gray tones of the sky and water, the blur from the rain and the sense of the ship straining at her mooring.

Something for me doesn't seem to hit with this photo. I think its an extremely compelling subject, and a nice composition. Lightning is hard! Especially so directed. I think maybe the lack of contrast is at the wrong part of the curve. I can see are going with not boosting the contrast, though. Did you try B/W?

Fantastic catch. I was going to say you should have tried to clear it up a bit (bring details of the boat out), but that would have removed the mood of the moment.
