How far is the glass from the object you want refracted. Are those drops h2o only or is it 50-50 glycerin and h2o? Which liquid works better? Sorry for blasting you with these questions. You're just experimenting... i forgot. :|

This is my first try, but here's the set up that I used this time... I borrowed a pane of glass from a small picture frame, cleaned it and treated it with Rain-X to help form the droplets. Then I suspended the pane about 8-10 inches above the picture. My first attempt to make the drops failed miserably as I tried just using a medicine dropper. The dropper could only make big drops, so I actually used the corner of a twist-tie dipped in water to make the small drops. From there is was just a matter of framing it and I chose a slight angle as I wanted the drops to gradually go oof.

Fantastic lighting! The centered composition here really works.

The large negative space works better for me on this than on your day 1 entry mainly because the placement of important parts here follow the rule of thirds. On the rose, the most important part is centered which makes the large negative space just feel off balance to me. But, I am not an expert, so take my observations for what they're worth.

Great detail and control of the whites. I might have cropped off about half the negative space on the right, but that's just my opinion. The textures are really great.

Awww, no stamen from inside the tube :(

My wife got sad looking at this (over the death thing). Fine detail, and some interesting rhythm again.

Yes, I've been looking forward to this shot. I love the rhythm in this one. So, if you really want to impress us you'll give us a closer look at the stamen in the tube :P Great series.

Yes! The ends of the pine cone just look like they're floating in the air! Thanks for such a unique and effective perspective on this.

Effective composition and great job not blowing things out on such a reflective surface. The creative lighting really paid off and the colors work very well.

Nice control of the various whites. I particularly like the detail inthe bottom most part of the drop, however, that strip of high contrast & detail makes the rest of the drop feel relatively flat for me. I like the overall composition.

Fascinating "landscape". It's amazing how narrow the DOF is even with this aperture.
