I agree! Anyone who didn't laugh when they saw this has no funnybone :P and it deserves a better score for being so creative & affective. Hope to see more quirky shots like this in the future. |

Golden Rodsby Five_SeatComment: Well, I suppose it was predictable that this type of shot would be under-rated at DPC since it's not a shot you can just absorb in 2.4 seconds. I was reading some of the other comments below and wanted to add that I disagree about the lens flare being a detracting feature. For me it really helps add balance to the picture, but that is clearly subjective.
Congratulations on a great commenter's score (those that took the time to apreciate your great shot) and good luck with the next challenge. |

The Vampireby fmalanComment: Holy under-rated photo batman! Perhaps the voters were looking for more obvious depth of field (although I would consider ANY macro shallow DOF). Still, congratulations on a fantastic photo with great lighting, composition, and sharpness. Hope to see more of these in the future. |

Amoeba-Music-wclouds-by sfaliceComment: I used to live at Haight & Lion and I walked by here all the time. This shot's a real trip back in time for me. Thanks! |

The Four Q'sby msieglerfrComment: Quewell! Nice composition, great sharpness (oh so slightly jagged on that 3rd Q from the top just to act like I have something critical to say :P ), meets the challenge in a creative way, and I even like the border. Good luck this week. |

Waterby robstComment: Yum. I love the tones & textures you've created here! It looks like the drop is just traveling along the the focal plane. |

000by mb2006Comment: Love it! But shouldn't the title be "0000" (and am I the 10thperson to mention it)? :P The only slight complaint I have is that the left front 0 looks clipped by the focal plane. But this is a fun composition & really works for me. |

The Vampireby fmalanComment: Great macro and impressive how much of the bloodsucker is sharp! Not sure I want to know what this background actually is, but at least you didn't give us a 'sucker on someone's skin' shot. The high contrast with the background makes this particularly striking. |

blue eyesby gudnybraComment: Wow! This is exactly the sort of shot I was hoping to see in this challenge! I like the lines & overall composition a great deal and the DOF really makes that right eye riveting. Great job. |

Golden Rodsby Five_SeatComment: Lovely capture. I particularly like the colors on the bottom and contrast in the top. I'm not sure what it is, but the gray semi-circle in the top distracted me at first until I caught the contrasting golden one in the bottom, and then it all seemed to fit together. There's just a nice overall flow to this shot that makes it enjoyable. Thanks. |
