Could it be wood it be - Day 13by slaaksoComment: Originally posted by JR: Plywood. Placing this in a position where the sun is just skimming the surface would bring out the textures in a big way.
Like this shot I took years ago.

I understand your idea of positioning this where the sun can cast more of a skimming light on the subject but I need wait for the sun to move since repositioning the Hanalei Pier is next to impossible as the photo here shows. The photo in question here, 'Could it be wood it be', is not a macro of plywood, it is a macro of the plywood impression in the concrete from the forms used to cast the pilings of the pier. Thanks for the suggestion JR.

macro11.jpgby creek41256Comment: I do like when people use more of the plant then just the flower but for me the colors are a bit muted or I am seeing this at the wrong time of day. |

Day 12 - Pastelsby kteachComment: I was really thrown off balance by this image so I am loving it. The bright blue wonderful on the bottom and the colors going on into infinity is the key to this photo for me. |

Day 11 : Rescindby ShaneBlakeComment: Another discarded part of the apple but this time wonderfully in focus. The POV, DOF and colors are right on for me in this ode to the apple. Don't try this with your computer. lol! |

Day 10 : Repastby ShaneBlakeComment: Where would the apple be today without the mighty seed? I too, wish the seed were fully in focus but I can live with the fact that it isn't. |
