Good subject matter for the challenge... but looks over-sharpened to me; also the hills off the distance are a little too "flat" looking.

Nice lens flare; love the mist in the photo around the barn.

Unfortunately this photo just doesn't do anything for me. Sorry.

The long shadows and yellowish cast were caused by the sun being low on the horizon because of it being late in the day (the start of the show was only a couple hours away). The fire marshall wouldn't permit me to use a flash (and I wasn't about to argue with him.) It was fun to see the stuff up-close and talk to the fireworks crew. And I got a few nice shots of the show (from a regular viewing distance, not at the launch site) a few hours later.

Tip: try to get your picture to the maximum dimensions (640 pixels) for the next challenge. As for this shot, the faces on the people "working" are underexposed or deep in shadow, and I think it would have been nice to see their faces to give some character to the photo. The subject matter has a lot of potential.

Wish there was more "person" and less "structure" in the shot. Great subject matter, but the person in it is deep in the shadows. Also, it might help to "anchor" the structure better if the vertical lines were straight up and down instead of "tilting over". Not knowing what the entire structure looks like, this may not be possible or even "correct", but it looks like it is tilting to the right. Good job of capturing somebody "at work" though.

Interesting subject matter. Wish the background was exposed better so you could see all the tools and things on the wall. Alternatively, might have considered cropping to a vertical format centered around the guy working. I know lighting in a situation like this is tricky.

Nice use of long exposure to get the "neon looking" motion blur. Really like how the guitarists face is "recognizable" and not just a blur. I assume you used a flash during the long exposure to achieve that effect? Well done.

Nice Toronto skyline... but I had to give a below average vote because the challenge said "Photograph a person or group of people doing whatever they do to make their living", and I don't think the people in the canoe are making a living. If they are, my apologies.

Cute idea, but I had to mark you down because the challenge said "Photograph a person or group of people". Otherwise, neat shot.
