Despite interesting and artistic composition, this suffers from excessive darkness in comparison to entries with white background. For this challenge, brighter exposure would have helped a lot.

Fine balance, uniform background, and interesting texture. Bumping up a notch on repeat viewing; although somewhat dark in color, the old brown leaves are light(weight).

Good subject choice. However, since camera light meters expect subjects that average to neutral grey, making things look white requires intervention to override what the meter thinks. This image could result from use of one of the automated modes without the corrective intervention. Exposure compensation or manual mode with brighter exposure would have helped.
