Daydreamerby essayComment: Effective use of light. Hope you reveal how much was in camera settings and how much post-processing. |

Windsweptby MAKComment: Blown out enough to be simultaneously hard to look at and impossible not to keep examiing. Having half her mouth vanish gives an unreal almost ghostly effect. |

OMG DAD HELP!!!!!by Dirt_DiverComment: Although a high key picture, I see this as also overexposed in a way that enhances the subject. I wonder if some cheerless portrait expert will whine that the pose makes the model look a little uncomfortable. |

Momirby ralphComment: The overexposure and stubble of beard combine as the kind of pale cast associated with an illness or maybe just with late middle age (regardless of the actual facts of the subject). The combination makes for an interesting and thought provoking portrait. |

What do you see?by littlegettComment: Interesting mix of overexposed left cheek and underexposed right cheek. Hope the voters don't missread this just because the background is dark. |

Dahliaby benolsenComment: Very pretty and nicely backlit. I predict higher scores from participants (who should recognize this as overexposed as well as backlit) than from nonparticipants (who may attribute all the bright areas to backlighting alone. |

Savannah Riverby ElaineComment: Having the dark horizontal lines look so much like a drawing or painting sets off the remaining greens and branches on the small island. Well done. |

Porcelain Doll by timfythetooComment: The magnitude of the differences between the two eyes (size, shadows on both sides of the left eye globe but not the right) and the dilated pupils despite bright light make this a bit unsettling. If not due to photographic factors, a medical eye evaluation might be wise. |

Jilby kolaComment: Nice high key shot. Having the two eyes such different tones throws it off a little. |

Anemones.by GenrOneComment: Nice choice for background, with the texture highlights a welcome break form the uniformly white alternatives. Clearly overexposed despite the preservation of color, meeting the challenge well. |
