I like the composition in this shot but want more balance in the exposure. This would be a good candidate for exactly the kind of post exposure manipulation that's not permitted in this contest. If you could have shot several different exposures (from over to under exposed) then blended them in layers to have beautiful detail in everything from the shadows to the sky it would be great.

Gorgeous! You obviously understand composition and the technical details so there's really nothing more to say. Bravo.

The idea is pretty clear, freshly planted tree has a future as indicated by the giant in the background. The composition could be improved if you were to lower the camera and tilt up.

It is difficult to get a really good picture from a moving car and this one is somewhat spoiled by the reflections in the windshield. I like the off kilter horizon, it creates imbalance. The composition could be improved simply by cropping the top 53 pixels off to fit the 427 x 640 catagory. The result of that would be to draw the eye into look at the intersecting ramps.

Nice detail. Good focus, but the composition is asking for something, maybe the point would be stronger if all the popped corn was white and the photo was taken against a white seamless background. Then the only color change would be between the unpopped and the popped corn thereby emphsizing the transition.

This has the potential to be a very strong image with cropping. The kid in the foreground has an innocent look about him and too me the pipe being offered suggests that is about to change hence fitting the challenge beautifully. Try taking off the left and top quarters of the photo and see what happens.

Interesting color and texture. Needs a central point of focus to sell the promise of the title.

I'm confused. Is the mine in a state of transition, like shutting down? The picture doesn't make it clear.

It's difficult to discern exactly what is in sharp focus which leaves me a bit confused. Obviously the egg tells me I'm watching a chick hatch but it would be more interesting if the focla point was recognizable. Good effort.

Good idea for transition. Not sure if the pictures on the left side of the mirror help. Are they the same girl? They distract my eye from the right side of the frame where the real evidence of youth is illustrated by dolls once played with.
