i'm a bit overwhelmed by white and i would like to see the horizon line either higher or lower. i agree with Erik about the trees becoming more of a focus for the shot and getting closer would probably some more detail and there's some really nice colours in there. i like the brush that breaks up the whiteness of the snow, too.

and i would like to see a moose next time you pass by there, please :)

i like the lines and the curve of the arch and, really, the overall composition. i think you nailed it when you noted the lost detail. i don't really get a sense of what's going on. why anyone would have given a 1 or even the 3s is beyond me. i don't like seeing that. i guess it happens to everyone (to me a lot...lol) and i better get used to it.
