Basic Portrait of a Coupleby JB707Comment: very noisy image. their heads should also be closer together with her eyes at his cheek level. if they are sun glasses, they have got to go, as they don't add to any story here.

making a vertical crop out of this would accentuate her expression, and lead the viewer to her eyes and keep them there. a bit of a glare from the lights, but not too bad.

Never Stopby JPRComment: this goes against everything I've been taught - showing the soles of the shoes, having props in the way..
yet, it works on a certain level. I might like to see one of his hands to connect the legs/feet with the torso/head. The position of the body makes this look a bit disjointed. |

The Missusby redmoonComment: dark shadow under her chin and on her neck may have been avoided with a reflector (homemade or store bought). there are also other shadows that may have been softened in this way, or with a fill light.
a soft expression is also sometimes more effective with a tighter crop. :) |
