The shelf bracket in the background is distracting. Grouped further to the left to eliminate this, minus the flag/or reposition the flag if it is important to you, and make some more dramatic lighting.
I started this challenge with photographing my subject, then went back and reorganized and looked at it differently to come up with my submission. Not saying it was the best in the end, but better than what I started out with.
BTW: Love the pottery!

My eye is not landing on anything. I think maybe the tip of the shoe string should be in focus, leading my eye down the string into the picture.

Oh!!! I was hoping when I clicked on the thumbnail that this would be in sharp focus. Must be difficult to get the camera to focus on the seeds though as they are sort-a transparent. I found that to be difficult in this challenge - hard to get a sharp focus on a not so smooth or irregular surface.
