I am eager to know how you did this. Guessing: under water and then changed the color by color selection or something similar. Makes for a dramatic image.

First tip: turn off the date stamp on your camera. I think most cams can turn that off... see if yours can.... if not.. frame your subject so that you can crop it out.

what a magnificent macro! congratulations! this is a favorite out of many weeks of having none. The detail is extraordinary, and the composition very "O'Keefe", (in my realm of experience). the dramatic lighting on one side does a good job of putting some of the petals into slight shadow without losing them, and yet does not lose detail by being blown out. Great image! Great title! I can not say enough.

Did you crop this out of a larger image? Or was the lighting just very low. After the challenge, see what you can do to use filters or something to clean it up... I really like it otherwise.
